Privacy Policy

Introduction
This policy sets out how we collect, use and protect the information that you give us when you use this website.

We may provide on this site links to other websites that we believe will be useful to you. We do not provide any information to other sites that we link to, but we are not responsible for the policy or practices of any other site, and you should read the equivalent policy of any website you visit.

Kent Fleet may change this policy without notice, by updating this page. Please check this page from time to time for any changes. This version was posted on 1st September 2009 and is version 1.

What information do we collect?
We collect only the very basic personal information to allow us to offer the service. This consists of your name and your scheme membership, from which we can determine your employer. Some schemes offer the option of salary sacrifice, and for those particular schemes we can calculate the approximate tax impact on you. Where you ask us to work out tax implications on an estimate, we also record some financial information: your tax code, your gross salary, and any pension contributions. If you prefer not to provide financial information we cannot make the tax calculations, but you can still obtain a lease estimate.

We may collect non-personal aggregate statistics (group) data about our site visitors' traffic patterns in order to improve the website.

How do we collect this information?
When you set up your account we ask you to provide your name, your email address and a scheme key. The scheme key is unique to an employer. If your scheme offers salary sacrifice, and if you are willing to provide it, we ask you for your financial details.

How do we use the information we collect?
We use your email address to email estimates to you, it may also be used as a security measure. We use your salary, tax and pension information (where provided) to estimate tax implications of a particular vehicle choice.

We will not sell, lease or distribute your personal information to a third party unless requested by you or required by law.

Where do we keep your information?
We place a cookie on your system to allow us to recognise you when you sign in to the site, to take you directly to a returning user log-in screen, and to provide you with the correct environment for your scheme. A cookie is a small text file, which is stored on your own computer’s hard drive, which identifies you to us as a returning user and your scheme membership. It does not give us access to any other part of your computer. You do not have to accept cookies to use this site (although declining cookies will make your site experience more awkward), and your browser can usually be set to decline all cookies.

Any financial information you give us is stored on our servers.

How do we secure your information?
The cookie on your system contains no sensitive information, although it does contain your username and you should take appropriate care of your own system to avoid weakening site security.

The financial information on our servers is kept in your personal account area. The confidentiality of this information is protected by your username and password. You should never share your passwords with others, and you should try to use different passwords for different applications.

You may make a request to see and correct any personal information we hold about you, but we will make a small charge for that service. All information that we hold about you is, however, accessible to you in the ‘My Account’ section of the website, where it is possible for you to make any corrections. Any existing estimates that show tax calculations may be invalidated by such changes but will not be automatically refreshed, so you should recalculate these.
